Men's Golf Hendrix Dual Results from Friday

DALLAS – The University of Dallas men's golf team had all five participants notch season-lows this fall campaign, as the Crusaders shot a 331 on Friday in a dual tournament versus Hendrix College. Only one round of 18 holes was counted, as the two programs plan to play a separate tournament tomorrow at another course.

Friday's contest was at Luna Vista Golf Course, and Saturday's match-up was selected to be completed at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas.

Dallas was paced by freshman Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.) with a personal best 79 score. It was also his highest finish in the standings this year as he took second. It was the best overall showing for UD this season on its home course.

The next highest finisher for the Crusaders was sophomore Matthew Nickel (Wichita, Kan.) with an 83. Junior Michael Sarrat (Colleyville, Texas) added a career-low 84 to finish the top three for Dallas. Freshman Peter Trevino (Dallas, Texas) and sophomore Oliver Rivers (Horsham West Sussex, England) tallied an 85 and 86, respectively.

The Warriors would claim the victory by posting a team score of 322. Individually Kevin Austrian would win the tournament by shooting five over par with a 77. Nick Hancock and Connor Thompson rounded out the top trio of finishers by tying for third with an 80 apiece.
