SCAC Championships Day One Results

BLANCO, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team finished sixth on Monday during the first two rounds of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships. As a team, Dallas shot 368 in the opening round, and followed with a 344 to finish 712 through the first 36 holes.

Freshman Chris Eckes (Fort Smith, Ark.) led the Crusaders in both rounds with team-lows, including a personal and school-best 69 in the latter trip on the course. The rookie topped his 74 mark earlier this spring and career-low 70 in a dual last fall against Hendrix College.

Eckes totaled an 81 in the first round and compiled a 150 to guide the Navy and White and stand alone in 13th among the individual rankings heading into the final day.

Senior Stephan Jasper (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) garnered 84's in both rounds on Monday.

Southwestern University's Connor Murphy holds the top spot in the standings with a 142, while two members from Trinity University matched 143 efforts for second. Kalen Vos and Redmond Lyons form the duo. Schreiner University's Jimmy Keener completes the top three with a 144.

Boasting a 585 in the team rankings after two rounds is Schreiner, followed by Trinity and Southwestern, respectively, completing the top three slots.
