Day two of University of Texas-Dallas Men's Golf Spring Classic

GARLAND, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team completed day two of the Texas-Dallas Men's Spring Classic at Firewheel Park on Tuesday. It was round three of the competition.

Freshman Chris Eckes (Fort Smith, Ark.) led Dallas shooting a 241 overall, after posting a 74 and 75, respectively, the first day. Eckes tied for 19th individually out of 41.

Fellow teammate Matthew Nickel (Wichita, Kan.) scored the lowest in the round with a 91. He totaled 270 overall for second on the Navy and White.

Adam Peterson from Texas Lutheran University shot 215 to win the classic. Cheyne Kendall followed with a 221. Rounding out the top three were Jack Cersosimo and Matt McClung tied at 222.

Two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) programs ranked in top two of the team rankings, as Schreiner University compiled a 900. The Mountaineers posted a tournament-low 294 altogether in round one to help the cause.

Texas Lutheran and Concordia University took second and third with a 923 and 931, respectively.
