Men's Basketball Fall to Hendrix College

CONWAY, Ark. - The University of Dallas men's basketball team dropped their non-conference mathcup with Hendrix College this evening, falling to the Warriors by a final score of 78-59.

The Crusaders were able to match the Warriors point for point in the early goings of the game, but Hendrix too an 11-8 lead just over four minutes into the game and never looked back.  Though the Crusaders were able to keep themselves within striking distance, going into the halftime break trialing by just five points, they were never able to tie it up or retake the lead.  

UD were still very much in the game in the second half, though the Warriors were able to slowly pad their lead.  The Crusaders were in arms reach, trailing by nine after five minutes, but Hendrix took a double-digit lead soon after and held it for the remainder of the game as they gradually piled on the points.  Dallas struggled to finish down the stretch, shooting 33% from the field as a team and going just 1-15 from beyond the arc.  

Marcus Juarez led the team with 13 points, with Hyde Cameran right behind with 12 points, going 6-7 from the free throw line.  Letrell  Toussaint led ll players with 12 rebounds.

The Crusaders are back in action next weekend, heading to St. Louis to play in the Webster University Classic.  They will face Webster university on friday, Nov. 19 at 8:00 p.m.
