Former University of Dallas men's basketball player and Dallas alumni, Josh Nunn, has been selected as an assistant coach with the We Are D3 team that will represent NCAA Division III basketball in The Basketball Tournament. This tournament is a 64-team single-elimination tournament broadcast on various ESPN platforms.

This will be the third year in The Tournament for We Are D3, the brainchild of former SUNY New Paltz head coach Mike Rejniak, comprised of Division III men's basketball alumni who are playing professionally overseas. Nunn joins Mike Droney, who is the other assistant coach, on Rejniak's coaching staff. We Are D3 is seeded at number 14 and gets a prime time spot on ESPN for this Saturday, July 16 at 6 p.m. (CST).

Nunn lettered two seasons with the Crusaders, playing in three seasons. He combined for 478 points, ranked second in assists (68) and third in steals (19) on the team in 2018-19. His 84.3 free throw percentage that same campaign was good enough for second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). After playing all 54 games (37 starts) his first two years, the guard was limited to four games in 2019-20 due to injury. He served as the videographer in 2020-21, elevating the team's social media presence with highlight clips and interviews.
