UD Men's Basketball Heads to Schreiner for Weekend DH

KERRVILLE, Texas - The University of Dallas men's basketball team continues its schedule with a pair of road games against Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opponent Schreiner University. Last season Dallas split the season series with the Mountaineers winning at home 72-68 and losing on the road 76-64.

Leading up the series both Dallas and Schreiner won their first games of the season. Dallas (1-5, 1-5 SCAC) defeated reigning SCAC tournament champion Centenary College of Louisiana (4-2) 67-60 on Saturday Jan. 30 while Schreiner (1-3, 0-2 SCAC) defeated reigning SCAC regular season champion St. Thomas University 91-88 on Friday Jan. 29.

Game time in Kerrville, Texas, will be at 8 p.m. Feb. 5 and 4 p.m. Feb 6. Access to livestats and free livestream will be posted on the basketball schedule/results page. All SCAC events remain closed to spectators at this time. 

THINGS TO NOTE

UD's Jai Love (St. Louis, Mo.) is leading the team scoring 15.2 ppg, which ranks sixth in the SCAC.

Letrell Toussaint (Waco, Texas) missed last weekend versus Centenary.  However, this season Toussaint currently averages a double-double with 14.8 points (SCAC 9th) and 12.0 rebounds (SCAC 1st) per game.

Jack Boyle (Silver Spring, Md.) got his first two starts versus Centenary last weekend and put up impressive numbers with 29 points, 34 rebounds, and nine blocked shots between the two games.

Schreiner's Alex Dehoyos is 13th in the SCAC averaging 12.0 ppg.

Chase Pinter scored 22 points for the Mountaineers in their victory against St. Thomas.

Aries Frederick is 1st in the SCAC among all eligible shooters from the 3-point line at 50% (5-10) for the season.
