Mathis and Wambsganss Earn USCAA All-American Honors

UNIONTOWN, PA - The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) announced its All-American and End of the Year Award winners for Men's Division I basketball during its National Championship Banquets at Seven Springs Resort on Wednesday March 11th. Michael Wambsganss (Denver, Colo.) and Dustin Mathis (Fort Worth, Texas) of the University of Dallas men's basketball team were named as Honorable Mention recipients.

Wambsganss earned his first All-American award after pacing Dallas with 13.4 points-per-game (26th USCAA) in 17 games of action. Wambsganss also had the second-most field goals made (76) on the team as well as the best free throw percentage (88%) for UD. Wambsganss also notched 82 rebounds, 30 steals, and six blocks for the Crusaders.

Mathis earned his first All-American award after he totaled a team-high 845 minutes and 322 points (22nd USCAA) playing in all 25 games for Dallas. Mathis made 110 of his 261 field goal attempts (42%). Mathis also shot 39% (14th USCAA) from three-point range after he averaged 2.5 made-per-game. Mathis dished out 86 assists to lead the team. Mathis averaged the eighth most minutes played-per-game in the USCAA with 33.8.
