FIRST TIP

The University of Dallas men's basketball team is set to host Austin College on Tuesday inside the Maher Center at 5:30 p.m. UD then will have a quick turnaround and rematch with the Kangaroos of AC in Sherman, Texas on Saturday (Jan. 25) at 2:00 p.m. UD is coming off a 1-1 road conference weekend falling to Texas Lutheran University 75-62, but taking down Southwestern University 72-66. The Crusaders currently sit third in the conference standings with just over half of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play left.

UD NOTES

- Dallas has ecplised 1000 points through 15 games (1,054).

- UD is averaging 11.1 and 27.3 offensive and defensive boards-per-game, respectively.

- The Crusaders are holding opponents to a 26.7% from beyond the arc. 

- Michael Wambsganss (Denver, Colo.) is tied for second among SCAC players with 1.9 steals per ballgame. 

- With the win over Southwestern University on Saturday, Head Coach Jarred Samples picked up his 130th career victory.

- Austin College (7-8, 4-4 SCAC) is coming off a 87-84 setback to Southwestern University on Friday night, but took down Texas Lutheran University in Seguin 96-92 to give the Bulldogs only their second loss in conference play. 

- Michael Holland leads AC averaging 8.7 rebounds-per-game, which ranks third among all SCAC players. 

- Devin Roland has notched a 47.6% from three-point range playing in 13 games for the 'Roos. Roland has the fifth-best mark in the SCAC. 

- AC is averaging 80 points-per-game, having ecplised 90 points three times so far.

- The 'Roos have won the past two seasons in Irving, while the Crusaders have won the past two meetings in Sherman.
