FIRST TIP

The University of Dallas men's basketball team will begin its four-game road trip travelling just South of the Metroplex to take on Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas on Tuesday. First tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. following the women's game. The Crusaders are 2-0 to start the season after defeating Hendrix College 71-57 at home last Saturday.


UD NOTES

- Dallas defeated SWAU last season 89-70. Joshua Nunn (St. Louis, Mo.) led the Crusaders with 14 points in that victory.  

- This game marks the first road contest for UD.

- Michael Wambsganss (Denver, Colo.) leads Dallas with 40 points including a 9-19 (47%) effort from behind the arc. Wambsganss was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Player of the Week after averaging 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game as the Crusaders posted a 2-0 week. In the 71-57 win over Hendrix College, the junior posted a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

- Jai Love (St. Louis, Mo) has dished out 16 assists.

- John Russell (Bossier City, La.) leads the team with six offensive boards.

- The Knights are 0-5 on the season and are coming off a 110-65 setback to Rhema Bible College.

- SWAU last defeated Dallas in 2017 in Keene winning 59-56.

- The Knights are a part of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division II.

- Marcus Dyer leads the Knights with 59 points on the young season, shooting 21-43 from the field along with nine three-pointers. Two other players have scored 50 + points on the season.

- T'Cory James has come down with 31 boards to lead his team.

ROAD AHEAD

The Crusaders will continue its road trip by travelling out West to play in the Chapman/Whittier Classic in Orange/Whittier, California over Thanksgiving Break (Nov. 29-30). UD will first take on Whittier College (CA) on Friday at 2:00 p.m. (PST). Dallas will then face Chapman University (CA) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (PST).
