FIRST TIP
The University of Dallas men's basketball team opens up the 2019-20 campaign on Monday, November 11th against Arlington Baptist University. The Crusaders are coming off an incredible run to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) tournament championship game a year ago. Dallas brings back a deep veteran roster for this season and will look to build upon last year's success this year. Dallas edged ABU 83-78 last season in the last meeting between these two clubs.
UD NOTES
- Three Dallas returners scored double-digit points in the win over ABU last year. Michael Wambsganss (Denver, Colo.) led the trio with 22 points, while Dustin Mathis (Fort Worth, Texas) and Joshua Nunn (St. Louis, Mo.) notched 18 and 16 points, respectively.
- Dallas was picked to finish third in this year's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) preseason rankings, while also receiving one first place vote.
- UD had a 5-7 record last season on its home court.
- The Crusaders have come out on top in the past three meetings with ABU.
- UD was 3-6 in non-conference matchups a year ago.

- Arlington Baptist is 0-4 to start the season. They have fallen to Wayland Baptist University (100-51) and Oklahoma Panhandle State University (76-70) in the first two games. The Patriots then lost to Abilene Christian University (90-39) and Lamar University (106-61) this past week.
- Jordan Williams was the second-leading scorer for ABU in the loss at UD last season as he gathered 10 points along with nine assists.
- Williams leads the team with 49 points through two games thus far.
