LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The SCAC office announced the men's and women's brackets for the 2018 basketball tournament, which will be begin Friday, Feb. 23 in Colorado Springs, Colo. Men's Tournament Bracket | Official Tournament Website
The University of Dallas men's basketball team qualified for the conference tournament for the first time since it hosted in 2014-15. Dallas will be the No. 3 seed in the tournament after a three-way tie for second place in the standings was sorted out.
The Crusaders finished 8-6 with the same records as Centenary College and Trinity University. Centenary earned the No. 2 seed due to having the best combined record against opponents (3-1). Once that was determined, Dallas earned the higher seed over Trinity due to its 2-0 record against first place Schreiner University in the regular season.
Dallas plays No. 6 seed Texas Lutheran University on Friday at 2 p.m. (MST). The teams split during the season, with the road team winning each matchup.
