Ross Davidson named @SCAC_Sports Men's Basketball 'Player of the Week'

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - ROSS DAVIDSON OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior forward/center from Dana Point, Calif., has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, Jan. 13, through Sunday, Jan. 19.

Davidson averaged 23 points, six rebounds and two blocks, while leading the Crusaders to a 1-1 road record. On the week, he netted 17-of-34 (50 percent) attempts from the field, 4-of-8 beyond the arc and 8-of-9 at the free-throw line. 

On Friday, in a 67-57 win over Texas Lutheran, Davidson scored a game-high 30 points. He finished 11-of-20 from the floor, 3-of-6 from 3-point range and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. 

Following a 34-point fete on Dec. 5 against Arlington Baptist, this was his second 30-point outing of 2013-14. These single-game performances rank second and third, respectively, this season in the SCAC.

Davidson tallied 16 points on Saturday in a 72-62 loss to Schreiner. He was 6-of-14 from the floor, 3-of-3 at the free-throw line, and paired nine rebounds with three blocks on the defensive end.
