Men's Basketball keeps pace in SCAC, consistent in 70-56 road victory over Centenary (LA)
SHREVEPORT, La. - The University of Dallas men's basketball team (11-6, 6-2 SCAC) shot 48.1 percent in both halves to achieve a 70-56 win over Centenary College of Louisiana on Saturday evening at the Gold Dome.
Dallas led 35-30 at halftime, after making 4-of-9 from 3-point range in the period.
The Crusaders netted 26-of-54 (48.1 percent) from the field on the game, and claimed a game-high 17-point advantage with 1:27 remaining en route to a 14-point victory.
Senior guard Drew Assinesi (Pasadena, Calif.) and sophomore forward Mark Promberger (Phoenix, Ariz.) tied for a game-high 14 points, while each added five rebounds.
Senior forwad Tanner Bruffey (Lubbock, Texas) managed a double-double (11 points, 13 rebounds).
Sophomore guard Kym Malone (Richardson, Texas) contributed 10 points, eight assists, five rebounds and three steals for head coach Jarred Samples' squad.
The Crusaders produced a 30-18 points-in-the-paint margin, and outrebounded the Gents 36-31.

Dallas hosts conference foe Trinity University (12-5, 6-1 SCAC) at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, at the Maher Athletic Center. The No. 1 seed in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference is on the line.
