Men's Basketball unable to tame Trinity, suffers 76-46 loss in battle of SCAC undefeateds

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas men's basketball team (7-4, 2-1 SCAC) fell 76-46 to Trinity University on Friday evening at Sams Gymnasium, behind a 53.7-percent mark from the field by the Tigers. 

Trinity (9-3, 3-0 SCAC) garnered a 34-21 lead by halftime, before surging for 42 points in the second-half on 16-of-27 (59.3 percent) shooting from the field en route to a 30-point victory.

The Crusaders had little answer for Zach Lambert, who finished with a game-high 20 points. Lambert knocked down two of the Tigers' 12 3-pointers on the game. 

Ross Davidson (Dana Point, Calif.) was the leading point-man for Dallas, as the junior forward accumulated 11 points. Junior guard Nate Wilson (Fairbanks, Alaska) and sophomore forward Mark Promberger (Phoenix, Ariz.) each tallied 10 points in defeat. 

Trinity controlled points-off-turnovers (23-4) and bench points (38-12). 

Next opponent: 

Dallas will combat Southwestern University (4-8, 1-2 SCAC) on Saturday, Jan. 5, in an 8 p.m. tip-off in Georgetown, Texas.
