Three Crusaders Receive AD3I Post-Season Honors

Finishing off a 12-14 2009-2010 campaign which ended in the first round of the NEAC tournament, three key contributors from this years UD basketball team have been honored with spots on the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) All-Independent Teams.

Senior guard Jim Norton (Louisville, KY/Holy Angels Academy) was named to the first team AD3I All-Independent team. Norton capped off his senior year at UD by recording his 1,000 career point in the teams final game to finish his career with 1011 points. Norton led the Dallas with an average of 16.6 points per game and made 50 shots beyond the arc.

Named to the AD3I second team All-Independent was senior guard/forward Travis Ekmark (Yokosuka, Japan/Nile C. Kinnick H.S.). He recorded 8 double-doubles and finished the season with a averages of 10.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game for a team high total of 228 on the year, including 58 offensive boards.

Senior point guard Jeff Pritchard (Frisco, TX/Frisco H.S.) was also honored with a spot on the AD3I All-Independent third team. Pritchard concluded his senior season at UD with an average of 9.6 points a game, a team high 50 steals and finished second on the team with 63 assists.
