Dallas Men’s Basketball Outduels Colorado College

After nearly blowing a considerable lead late in the first half, the Dallas men's basketball team was able to defeat the Colorado College Tigers, 66-55. In what turned out to be a hard fought defensive battle, the Crusaders were able to pull away, gaining a 13 point lead in the middle of the second half. They maintained their lead until the Tigers went on an 8-0 run; pulling within 5 points of UD by the time there was 2 minutes left on the clock. From then on out the UD pulled things together, earning the win and the respect of fans in attendance.

Senior forward Travis Ekmark (Yokosuka, Japan/Niles C. Kinnick H.S.) continued to play well. He had his second straight double-double, pulling in an impressive 16 rebounds, and scoring 12 points. Jeff Pritchard (Oak Grove, LA/Frisco H.S.), Jim Norton (Louisville, KY/Holy Angels Academy), and Pete Popovich (St. Louis, MO/Gateway Academy) had 11 points a piece for the Crusaders., while Barrett Brown (Phoenix, AZ/Mountain Pointe H.S.) scored 12 points.

The men travel to Arkansas to take out the Hendrix College Warriors on Tuesday, February 9. The game in Conway, AR starts at 7:30pm.
