Bio

Fraser Holmes enters his sixth season as University of Dallas baseball head coach. He earned his 100th-career win during the 2014 season, and managed the Crusaders as third-year members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). He has led Dallas to two SCAC Tournament appearances, including a run to the 2013 Semifinals. 

He has coached 14 All-SCAC Players (including the 2014 SCAC Baseball Offensive-Player of the Year, and 2013 SCAC Baseball Freshman of the Year), four Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches Association All-Region Players, two D3Baseball.com All-Region Players, and multiple All-Academic and All-American selections as awarded by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I), United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and College Sports Information Directors of America.

Coach Holmes was named the 2011 AD3I Baseball Coach-of-the-Year after posting a 26-14 record, which reversed the 14-25 record from his first season as Dallas' head coach.

He played collegiately at North Lake College before transferring to the University of Dallas, where he was the starting catcher from 2006-08. A three-time letterwinner, Holmes was named to the 2008 AD3I Baseball First Team. Garnering USCAA Baseball First Team honors in 2006 and 2007, he was also tabbed to the 2007 USCAA Baseball National All-Academic Team.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Cum Laude) and a Master of Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Dallas.

The fifteenth head coach in program history, Coach Holmes instructs private lessons in the offseason.  He resides in Irving with his wife Sydney, and daughters Eve and Isla.
