Game 2
University of the Ozarks (AR)
LUCAS, Texas – The University of Dallas Crusaders returned to Lovejoy High School on Saturday for a doubleheader clash against Ozarks following a week of harsh weather and unplayable home field conditions. Despite an impressive offensive effort across both games, the Crusaders ultimately fell short, dropping game one 10-9 and game two 11-6. With several standout performances at the plate, Dallas (6-21, 6-18 SCAC) showed plenty of fight but couldn't quite edge out the Eagles (12-16, 7-14 SCAC) in either contest.
G2 | Ozarks 10, UDallas 9
Dallas brought the bats early in game one, tallying 10 hits and 9 runs in a hard-fought contest. Dylan Roscopf led the offensive surge with a 3-for-5 outing, scoring twice and adding an RBI, while Reed Morales drove in three runs and drew two walks. Caleb Hohman went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Luke Gill contributed 3 RBIs on a 2-for-6 performance. Though the Crusaders put together a strong offensive game, stranding 10 runners proved costly as Ozarks managed a late push to take the opener.
G3 | Ozarks 11, UDallas 6
The Crusaders kept the momentum going in game two with another 9-hit performance but couldn't contain Ozarks' offense, falling 11-6. Roscopf once again sparked the lineup, going 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run, while Nomar Duran stepped up with a 2-RBI single. Ryan Metcalf went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Caleb Hohman chipped in a sacrifice RBI. Despite their fight at the plate, Dallas couldn't close the gap late in the game and ultimately being swept by the Eagles.
Dallas will be back at Crusader Fields against the Concordia Texas Tornados April 12th.
