Crusaders End Roadtrip With a Win After Rough Weekend

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana – After a tough start to the weekend, the University of Dallas baseball team closed strong with a 10-6 win over Centenary to avoid the sweep. The Crusaders (8-25, 8-22 SCAC) struggled to get going in the first two games but responded in the finale with an explosive offensive performance.

Centenary came out hot in the series opener, limiting Dallas to just three hits in a 14-2 loss. Despite the tough outing, the Crusaders got RBIs from Dylan Goddard and Tyler Espinosa, while Owen Edwards and Jordan Escamilla each chipped in with a hit and a run. A combination of four pitchers worked the mound for Dallas but couldn't slow down the Centenary offense.

Game two followed a similar pattern, with Centenary once again holding the Crusaders to minimal scoring. Caleb Hohman provided the lone highlight with a solo home run, going 1-for-2 with a walk and run scored. Luke Gill collected two hits, and Dylan Goddard added one of his own, but the offense couldn't keep pace in another 14-run outing by Centenary.
