UPDATE - Baseball's Game vs ETBU Postponed

IRVING, Texas (Updated April 11, 2022) - Having already been rescheduled once, the University of Dallas baseball team's contest with East Texas Baptist has been postponed once again, this time due to the forecasted thunderstorms coming this week.  The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 at 3:00 p.m., but the flash downpour that ripped through Dallas that night rendered the field unplayable.  The contest was then rescheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m.  Now, with the impending storm, both sides have decided to act preemptively and push the game back once more.  The contest is now scheduled for Tuesday, April 26th at 3:00 p.m.

The Tigers and Crusaders have faced each other once already this season.  The Crusaders will be looking to split the season series, as ETBU won the first matchup 15-2 back on March 1.  Next week's meeting will be the third time these two teams have faced each other in the last three years; Dallas won the first game 5-4 back on March 3, 2020, just before the rest of the 2020 season was cancelled amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Crusaders are looking to snap a five game losing streak as they have hit a midseason rough patch, and currently sit at 9-14 on the year.  The Tigers currently sit at 21-8, having won six of their last seven games.
