Dallas Baseball Volunteered With the Miracle League on Saturday

ARLINGTON, Texas – The University of Dallas baseball team participated in a service event with the Miracle League this past Saturday. UD has been involved in the community with several different service projects through the fall.

A couple of the players served as announcers during the game, with the majority of the participants serving as "Buddies" or base coaches during the games.  UD players were responsible for their individual player during the course of the game, and assisted their player with game play.  Base coaches helped direct the base runners around the bases.  They had a great experience interacting and assisting with the Miracle League players during the games, and creating a bond with them.  "We had a blast and are looking forward to working with the Miracle League in the future." – Coach Grafton

Hear from the players themselves:

Senior Zach Taylor: "Getting to help kids play the greatest sport in the world, there is no better experience than that."

Senior Travis Moore: "The miracle league event was an inspiring experience that opened the opportunity for our baseball program to experience and put forth the values that our University was founded upon. The joy and happiness that we were able to give back to our community was remarkable and something we, as a team, won't ever forget "
