Voss named USCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Conrad Voss (Corona, Calif.) from the University of Dallas baseball team earned Pitcher of the Week for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). It is the second time in his career the sophomore left-handed pitcher has received the honor.

Voss held the number one ranked team in NCAA Division III, Trinity University (31-4) to just four runs (2 earned) and eight hits. He threw his longest outing of his career with 8.1 innings, striking out five, and walking just one. Voss was remained poised against a difficult opponent and kept it close enough for the Crusaders to tie things in the seventh and keep it that way until the final inning.

Voss has been the anchor on the Crusaders pitching staff this season, pitching in both roles as a starter and key reliever. The southpaw has made 17 appearances (6 starts) and thrown 53.2 innings. His 47 strikeouts match a season-high.

Dallas wraps up the regular season at home for three games on April 28th-29th versus Schreiner University. A doubleheader is slated for the 28th starting at 12 p.m. The series finale start time was moved up to 12 p.m.
