Former UD Baseball Player Bobby Crook Promoted on Texas Rangers Amateur Scouting Staff

ARLINGTON, Texas – Bobby Crook, who played with the University of Dallas baseball team in 2002 and '03, has been promoted to Special Assignment Crosscheck with the Texas Rangers amateur scouting staff. The club announced his promotion along with other transactions for the amateur, professional, and international scouting staffs earlier this week.

Crook was an outfielder for two seasons with the Crusaders. The native of Flower Mound, Texas, earned three varsity letters in baseball under Coach Harp at Marcus High. He was voted "Mr. Hustle" in baseball during his senior year. Crook also was a member of both the National Honor Society and English Honor Society. Finally, he was selected as a National Merit Commended Scholar.

At UD he majored in English and was named to the Honor Roll his first semester.
