GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The 2016 USCAA All-American and End of Year Awards were announced at the Championship Banquet at the Glens Falls Civic Center.  The USCAA named more than 30 All-Americans, Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Student-Athlete of the Year.  Congratulations to this year's winners.

Receiving his first nod with USCAA Second Team All-American from the University of Dallas was freshman Thomas Martin (Vancouver, Wash.). Martin split most of his playing time at first base and right field, and totaled 37 games started on the spring. Martin paced the Crusaders with a .351 batting average, 46 hits, and 24 RBI. He concluded the season on a seven-game hitting streak, and recorded hits in 20-of-21 outings. This span included a team-long 13-game hitting stretch. Martin reached base safely in 23 straight contests.

The last time UD placed members on the USCAA All-American Teams was 2014. That campaign resulted in a trio of players for the Crusaders to be named. Mark Carlson (Class of '14) and Trevor Keele (Class of '15) got tabbed USCAA First Team, while Martin Cronin (Class of '15) was placed on the USCAA Second Team.
