About a 30 minute delay followed in addition to usual break-time for the second of a doubleheader. Play was halted in the bottom of the eighth inning with UD down 3-1. That suspended game will resume tomorrow at 1 p.m. when the original series finale was set.

Another run in the second marked a seven-run deficit for Dallas, but a massive fourth inning nipped the hole and created a brand new ballgame at the completion of it. Junior JP Fasone (Englewood, Colo.) ripped a double down the left field line to clear the bases that were juiced for the first three runs of the inning.

Freshman Paul Scioli (Lubbock, Texas) struck out for the second retired UD hitter, but the next four runs came through on the two-out rally. Classmate Mark Peterson (Cincinnati, Ohio) and junior Avery Arnold (McKinney, Texas) doubled consecutively to drive in a run apiece. Freshman Josh Abalos (Lewisville, Texas) singled and advanced to second on a throwing error by the Schreiner defense. Arnold scored on the miscue. Senior Rene Vargas, Jr. (San Antonio, Texas) knotted the score with a single to right field.

Senior Luciano Villanueva (San Antonio, Texas) broke the tie game with his first home run this season to left field. After the next three batters, Arnold bunted and reached on a fielder's choice, which scored Fasone. Scioli and Arnold performed a double steal for insurance.
