Dallas senior Martin Cronin (1-7) was saddled with the setback. In two innings he allowed seven runs on eight hits, while matching a walk with a punch out. Sophomore Cole Morden (Arlington, Texas) tossed four innings out of the pen, and limited the damage to two runs on seven hits.

Game two was similar result, as the visitors got on the board quickly with a pair through the first team at bat. However, the Crusaders battled through the next few frames before Trinity notched at least a run in the final four times up.

A four-run sixth helped open a 9-0 advantage and eventually secured a series win for the Maroon and Gold. As a squad, Trinity compiled 14 hits, with four of them counting towards extra bases. Carter McEachern led the way with three knocks in four at-bats. Colin Serkowski, Nick Jewett, Wolf, and Attyah each reflected multiple hit performances.
