Trevor Keele voted 2014 @SCAC_Sports Baseball 'Offensive-Player of the Year'

SAN ANTONIO - University of Dallas junior first baseman/right-handed pitcher Trevor Keele (Edgewood, Texas) has been named by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) as the 2014 SCAC Baseball Offensive-Player-of-the-Year.

Keele is Dallas' first-ever SCAC offensive or defensive player-of-the-year in any sport. The Crusaders joined the league in the 2011-12 academic-year.

With SCAC baseball head coaches casting their ballots, Keele received five votes toward this honor. Aaron Quintanilla of Centenary College of Louisiana garnered the remaining two.

Keele was one of five student-athletes from head coach Fraser Holmes' squad to be named to the 2014 All-SCAC Baseball First Team.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder leads the SCAC with a .400 batting average, 54 hits and 46 runs batted in (RBI).

His current other top-10 statistical rankings include a .456 on-base percentage (third), 70 total bases (fourth), three triples (fourth), a .519 slugging percentage (sixth) and seven doubles (ninth).

Also a 2013 All-SCAC First Team performer, Keele drove-in a 2014 conference single-game high six RBI against Centenary College of Louisiana on March 15th. That same day, he started an 11-game hitting-streak that lasted until April 5th.
