Joshua Crapps garners 2014 @USCAA Baseball National 'All-Academic' Team honor

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - University of Dallas sophomore right-handed pitcher Joshua Crapps (Anchorage, Alaska) has been named by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) to the 2014 USCAA Baseball National All-Academic Team.

USCAA All-Academic and All-American selections were announced on Sunday at the USCAA National Championship. To be eligible for All-Academic, nominees need at least a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. 

Crapps, a member of the Dean's List as a Chemistry (Pre-Med) major, plans to attend medical school after earning his bachelor's degree.

He appeared in nine games (four starts) on the 2014 season for the Crusaders. In 21.1 innings pitched, Crapps compiled a 1-2 record and 15 strikeouts.
