Trevor Keele pegged to 2014 ABCA/Rawlings West All-Region 'Third Team'
LA VERNE, Calif. - University of Dallas junior first baseman Trevor Keele (Edgewood, Texas) has been named by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) to the 2014 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Baseball All-West Region Third Team.
Selected by a vote of the region's head coaches, Keele was one of two first basemen to land on the third team. This accolade gives him consecutive seasons to achieve all-west region third-team status.
Keele -- the 2014 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Offensive-Player-of-the-Year -- led the Crusaders in batting average (.400), hits (54), runs batted in (46), on-base percentage (.456), sacrifice flies (six) and fielding percentage (.991).
Additionally, he compiled a 2-2 record and four saves as a 6-foot-1 right-handed pitcher.
For his efforts, Keele was declared as the Dallas baseball team's most valuable player.
