Trevor Keele named to 2013 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Baseball West All-Region 'Third Team'

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - University of Dallas sophomore first baseman Trevor Keele has been selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) to the 2013 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Baseball All-West Region Third Team.

Keele (Edgewood, Texas) was one of two first basemen to comprise the third team. The 6-foot-1 right-hander posted a .336 batting average in his first season with the Crusaders. In 43 games played, he contributed 50 hits from 175 plate appearances, 32 runs batted in, 10 doubles, six home runs, four sacrifice flies and two triples. He also boasted a .440 slugging percentage and a .408 on-base percentage.

Defensively, he registered a .989 fielding percentage, 261 put-outs and helped complete 16 double plays.

For his prowess on the diamond, Keele was also tabbed to the 2013 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team and named a 2013 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Honorable Mention All-American.
