Bio

Inducted October 2007

When baseball was restarted in 1998 under Coach James Vilade, Tony Gallizzi was the first recruit that committed to the program. The baseball program became instantly one of the most successful in the southwest and Gallizzi contributed to three consecutive American Southwest Conference East Division Championships in 1999, 2000, 2001. Tony holds the school record for most home runs in a game, 2, which he accomplished twice. Against Carleton the two home runs were in one inning, which ties an NCAA Division III record. He also holds the school single game record for runs batted in with 8. Gallizzi's career batting average of .351 stands 13th on the all time list and his home run total of 17 is tied for second.
