In the mid 1970's Steve Eberhardt was a pitching mainstay on the University of Dallas baseball teams that won consecutive NAIA District 8 Central Zone Championships in 1974 and 1975. The 1975 pitching staff had a team era of 2.31 which is still the school record. As the workhorse of the pitching staff he holds the school record for innings pitched in a career, 302. He is third in career strikeouts, 245, 5th in career wins, 19, and 7th in games pitched, 44 and earned run average 3.30. An All Central Zone selection in 1974 and 1975 he was also an All District choice in 1975. On 16 April 1975 he became the second pitcher in school history to throw a no hitter when he beat Texas College.
