Gerald Turner played baseball for the University of Dallas from 1962 through 1965. His career record is 112 hits in 343 at bats for a batting average of .326 with 70 runs scored. Among his hits were 22 doubles, 5 triples and 10 home runs with 72 runs batted in. The marks in triples, home runs and runs batted in each place him 5th on the all-time career list. He played on the most successful team in UD baseball history. Selected to the NAIA All American baseball team 1964.
