UD Hall of Fame Feature: Jake Carney

In the baseball history of the University of Dallas there have been five no hit games. Two of them were pitched by Jake Carney, one of them in his first college start. Jake had 27 wins during his three years with the team, second on the school career win list. Those 27 wins contributed to three consecutive American Southwest Conference East Division Championships in 1999, 2000, 2001. Jake holds school season records for wins with 10 and shutouts with four. He had 227 strikeouts and a career earned run average of 3.05 for 233 innings. Carney was a 2001 United States Collegiate Athletic Association All American. Jake was drafted and signed by Tampa Bay after his junior season.
