SCAC All-Sportsmanship Spring Teams Announced

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its seventh annual spring All-Sportsmanship teams. Among the 49 student-athletes within the conference, the University of Dallas placed five on the list.
Representing the Navy and White included: sophomore Ryan Hammonds (Cedar Hill, Texas), sophomore Bailey Distefano (Bryan, Texas), freshman Matthew Nickel (Wichita, Kan.), sophomore Paulo Salazar (Dallas, Texas), and sophomore Lizzie Depew (Grove City, Pa.).
Hammonds was tabbed the honor for Dallas baseball and Distefano claimed the accolade for softball. Nickel was named on the All-Sportsmanship Men’s Golf Team. Rounding out the quintet for the Crusaders were men’s and women’s track respective representatives, Salazar and Depew.
The SCAC places a special emphasis on sportsmanship each year and is asking all fans of the conference to exhibit good sportsmanship at all conference functions throughout the 2014-2015 season. Read the SCAC Presidents’ Council statement on Fan Sportsmanship.
