Kaiser and Worry among Listed on SCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Teams

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its ninth annual winter All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 30 student-athletes were selected to the 2016-17 squad in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's swimming and diving and women's swimming and diving.

The SCAC places a special emphasis on sportsmanship each year and is asking all fans of the conference to exhibit good sportsmanship at all conference functions throughout the 2016-17 season. Read the SCAC Presidents’ Council statement on Fan Sportsmanship.

Each head coach was asked to elect one member from his or her team who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season. 

The University of Dallas basketball teams are the only winter teams the institution sponsors during the winter season. On the men’s side, Tom Kaiser (Nashville, Tenn.) was selected and Caitlyn Worry (Lumberton, Texas) received the nod for the women’s.

Kaiser capped his senior year by shooting an SCAC best 70.6 percent and averaged 11 points a contest (274). He blocked a new personal best 35 shots and finished with 538 career rebounds (7^th in UD program). Kaiser’s best performance was a school record 45 points and 21 field goals against Rhodes College on January 2.

Worry notched a career season with 166 points and 41 of her 60 made field goals were from three-point land. The senior shot 32.5 percent on the season and ends the campaign 11^th all-time in three-point field goal percentage (32.9). In 26 starts, Worry broke double figures six times and matched a season best 14 points on a trio of occasions.
