Announcement: Outside food & drink 'impermissible' in Maher Athletic Center gym

IRVING, Texas - Crusader fans and other Maher Athletic Center patrons, please note no outside food or drink are allowed beyond the ticket gate upon entry into basketball home games for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

We want to ensure the safety of our student-athletes, personnel and fans on game days, and will not tolerate items projectiled onto the court. Your cooperation is appreciated. 

A message on game etiquette: 

“The SCAC and the NCAA promote good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist comments, or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches or team representatives -- as well as the public intoxication, the consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products – are grounds for removal from the site of competition and other disciplinary actions.”
