IRVING, Texas – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) released on Friday the 480 female student-athletes – the most ever in the history of the program – for the 2015 NCAA Woman of the Year award.

Now in its 25th year, the Woman of the Year award honors graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in academics, athletics, service and leadership.

The University of Dallas selected 2015 graduate Christine Jablonsky. The Colorado Springs, Colorado, native earned the accolade after being active within the athletic department during her time at the institution.

Jablonsky was a three-year letter winner for the Women’s Lacrosse Program. The goalkeeper was a strong force for the Navy and White, helping boast several individual records during her career. In 2014, she stopped 165 saves for a school record in a single season to go with a .470 save percentage.

The Lady Crusader added to her save total in her final spring campaign, as Jablonsky set the new save mark on March 19 versus Olivet College. At the time that feat was 360, and the keeper would complete her career with 415. It wasn’t the lone record for Jablonsky as she set the Goals Against Average with a 9.25-clip in a season.

Competing as a dual athlete, Jablonsky also spent time on the hardwood in the fall. The two-year letter winner for volleyball helped the squad to its highest winning record (23-13) since 2010’s 26 victories. She played in 77 contests her final season, and produced a season-high 11 kills in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Quarterfinals. Her performance occurred in a 3-2 triumph over Texas Lutheran University in the opening match.

Jablonsky graduated with a degree in Politics, concentrating on Pre-Law. She has been accepted and plans to attend New Mexico School of Law in the fall of 2015.

Of the nominees, 207 competed in Division I, 93 competed in Division II and 180 competed in Division III athletics.
