Crusaders Hoops Have Great Turnout on SCAC Winter Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its 2020 Winter Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today and 358 student-athletes made the list. Since its inception in 1997 just over 28,500 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.

To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.

The University of Dallas placed 24 student-athletes from its men’s and women’s basketball programs. The programs were the fifth highest total among conference schools and the highest among schools that only sponsors basketball as a winter sport (The top four schools offer swimming and diving).

Leading the excellent representation was the Crusaders men’s basketball players, with 18 qualifying for the list. That is the highest number of players from the UD program to be named to the conference academic honor roll. On the women’s side, six Crusaders rounded out the list. Those qualifying are listed below.
