Bio

Alesha Wilson enters her second season as a volunteer assistant at the University of Dallas in 2018.

Wilson completed her graduate assistant position at NCAA Division I North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2015. The Wolfpack went 16-16 overall (5-15 ACC play) that fall.

Wilson began her coaching journey in 2013 and has spent the last five years gaining experience as an assistant and head coach through amateur volleyball with Triangle Volleyball Club & NC Elite Volleyball Club in Morrisville, North Carolina and Team North Texas Volleyball Club & Drive Nation Sports in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. She also assisted and led camps and clinics with North Carolina State University, Keller Central and Denton Ryan High School.

Prior to coaching, Wilson graduated from North Carolina State University as a former middle blocker and Wolfpack athlete for life. During 2012, Wilson was named ACC Player of the Week; she was ranked second on the team in total blocks, ranked fourth in total attacks, and participated in the first NCAA tournament appearance since 1987 v Texas A&M University. Additionally, she garnered all-tournament honors and captainship in the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

In May 2016, Wilson earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with a Spanish Minor.
