IRVING, Texas – On Sunday the University of Dallas Athletic Department celebrated the fourth annual athletic banquet held at Haggar University Center on campus. Each coach for the 15 NCAA affiliated programs were asked to summarize the year for their teams. The team-voted Most Valuable Players (MVPS) were announced and handed out. Coaches also noted other conference achievements, program records, and student-athlete milestones.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – In an announcement made today at league headquarters, Johnson & Wales University (Denver) has accepted membership into the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), becoming the ninth member of the NCAA Division III league.

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Dallas men’s and women’s cross country teams earned spots on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Academic Teams. This is the second time within the past three years (2014) that Dallas had both cross country teams named with the award.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its ninth annual fall All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 41 student-athletes were selected to the 2016 squad in the sports of men’s cross country, women’s cross country, football, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – On Friday, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) released the soccer, volleyball, and cross country All-Academic Team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least a 3.5-mark.

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s cross country team finished fourth place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) on Saturday morning. In its second 6K race this fall, Dallas tied Texas Lutheran University in points (111), but the Bulldogs would take third on the tiebreaker. Colorado College (18 points) won its third straight conference championship and Trinity University (45) took second.

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s cross country team enjoyed a Saturday morning race on its home terrain and secured 4th place as a team with 100 points in the University of Dallas Invitational. The Crusaders averaged a time of 21:27.57 minutes with four runners breaking top 23 among 78 competitors in the 5K.

MARSHALL, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s cross country team competed in the East Texas Baptist University Invitational on Saturday. Dallas ranked sixth place with a 167 points out of the Division III programs. This was the first 6k race for the Crusaders this fall.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – According to a study conducted by the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport at University of Minnesota, The University of Dallas athletics department ranked 7th of 56 schools reviewed within six of NCAA Division III conferences.

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s cross country team finished second place (41 points) as a team at the Texas Lutheran Bulldog Invitational on Saturday morning. This is UD’s highest finish as a team since claiming second in 2015 at the University of Dallas Invitational.

ABILENE, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s cross country team began the 2016 season on Friday at the Bill Libby Invitational. As a team, the Crusaders finished in fifth place with 104 points and averaged a 22:19.20 time. South Plains College won with a 20:27 minute result and 48 points. Host school McMurry University (21:22 and 68 points) followed in second place, and Ranger College (21:13 and 69 points) rounded out the top three standings.
