The University of Dallas has had four players drafted by major league baseball. In 2000 pitcher Will Rosellini was taken in the 16^th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks and outfielder Tapley Holland in the 24^th round by the Detroit Tigers.  In 2001 pitcher Jake Carney was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 20^th round and in 2002 the Houston Astros selected pitcher Bill Westhoff in the 8^th round.
