Wilgenbusch Earns All-American; Crusaders 4th at USCAA Championship

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The University of Dallas women's cross country team competed in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Championship on Friday, which was the second 6k course this season. Dallas came in fourth place overall out of 11 teams with 88 points.
Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) produced the best time to give her that distinction in all six competitions the freshman ran in this fall. Her time of 24:32.74 clinched her fifth individually and gave her First Team All-American for being within the top-seven. Wilgenbusch is UD's first All-American since Angela Moore from 2016, and the 10th time for someone in the program to garner the achievement.
Sabrina Lucio (Chino, Calif.) returned back into the second place slot on the team with a 25:43.15 for 15th.
Emma Kate Callahan (Overland, Kan.) gave the Crusaders a trio of top-20 finishes with a 26:18.05 time for 18th. Clare Hernandez followed with a 27:02.18 mark. Amy Foote (Saint Paul, Minn.), Mary Korth (McKinney, Texas), and Katie Dieteman (Erie, Pa.) also represented Dallas in this final competition of the season.
SUNY ESF finished with the best team score of 25 points. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College scored 62, and SUNY Delhi posted 75.
Marissa Lathrop (23:58), Kayla Coryea (24:04.23), and Julie Romano (24:04.61) were the top-three finishes.
