Kennedy and Moore finish Top 5; Women's Cross Country takes 2nd on Saturday

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas women's cross country team finished second place (41 points) as a team at the Texas Lutheran Bulldog Invitational on Saturday morning. This is UD's highest finish as a team since claiming second in 2015 at the University of Dallas Invitational.

Host school Texas Lutheran (27 points) captured first place as a team and Concordia University (66 points) rounded out the top three team finishes.

WORTH NOTING

- Bridget Kennedy (San Antonio, Texas) led all UD runners with a third place finish. She posted a season best time of 20:20.17 minutes to get on the podium.

- Angela Moore (Austin, Texas) hit a Personal Record by 10 seconds over freshman year on track. The junior also ranked right behind Kennedy with a season best fourth place completion and time of 20:29.28.

- Joey Danaher (Boulder, Colo.) ran a personal best 21:54.09 and rounded three of the top 10 finishes for the Crusaders with a ninth place listing. Ana Wilhelm (Kiowa, Kan.) hit a PR in her second collegiate race with a time of 24:24.

- Karmina Martinez (Friendswood, Texas), Mary Korth (McKinney, Texas), and Mary Rose Corkery (Mansfield, Mass.) all ran season bests of 23:42, 24:12, and 25:30, respectively.

- Elizabeth Herrera (Keller, Texas) made her season debut.

UP NEXT

Dallas is off the rest of the month. The next race is Oct. 1 at the ETBU Invitational. Last season, this competition was referred to as the Texas Division III Championship.
