Whyte Named to 2019 Baden Invitational All-Tournament Team

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Dayjah Whyte (Round Rock, Texas) represented the University of Dallas volleyball team by being named to the 2019 Baden Invitational All-Tournament Team released on Sunday. Whyte joined six other players, including three from host school Washington University (MO) who were 3-0 over their home invitational.

Dallas (11-14) went 2-2 at the Baden Invitational, as it defeated Lakeland University in four sets and Monmouth College (IL) in five. Full Press Release by WashU here.

Whyte in 16 sets logged 15 block assists (0.94 blocks/set), 230 hit percentage (35 kills, 12 errors, 100 total attempts), 2.19 kills/set. Whyte notched a career-high seven block assists versus Monmouth and had a team-high 14 kills over Lakeland University. The sophomore's big performance on the block this weekend propelled her to a new personal-best in a season (56) and she surpassed 100 total blocks for her career (103).

Dallas returns to action for eight straight matches in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play. The Crusaders host a crossover on October 18-19 at the Maher Center with Centenary College, Colorado College, Southwestern University and Schreiner University all visiting.
