Crusaders Participated at 2020 Hardin-Simmons Cowboy Invitational on Saturday

ABILENE, Texas – The University of Dallas women's track and field team competed at the 2020 Hardin-Simmons Cowboy Invitational on Saturday. The Crusaders scored 39 points as a team to place third out of nine schools. Alissa Dutton (Houston, Texas) made her debut on the day, while Jules Oliveti (Southlake, Texas) finished third with a mark of 31.78 in the discus throw.

Hannah Wilmes (Wentzville, Mo.) and Alissa Dutton (Houston, Texas) competed in the discus throw and finished with throws of 23.53m and 23.19m, respectively. Oliveti finished fourth in the women's shot put with a throw of 9.35 meters. Dutton (9.01m) and Wilmes (8.87m) also competed in this same event. Wrapping up the field events, Wilmes also threw 24.87 meters in the javelin throw for fourth.

In the Women's 1500 Meter Run, Maria Pecha (San Antonio, Texas) ran a time of 6:31.90.

Dallas competed in the 400-meter dash on the day. Michelle Narvaez (Shawnee, Kan.) ran a time of 1:12.92, as Anisa Meza (Helotes, Texas) and Pecha also gathered times of 1:18.88 and 1:25.85, respectively.    

In the 100 Meter Dash Sara Mora (Spring, Texas) notched a time of 15.62. Mary Korth (McKinney, Texas) ran in her usual 800-meter run and secured a time of 2:54.33 on the day.

Lastly, in the 200-meter dash Anna Brunk (Lemont, Ill.) had a time of 29.86, while Meza finished at the 32.67 mark. Mora also competed in this race with a 32.85 mark.
