Hernandez Wins Steeplechase; Wilgenbusch Adds Two Second Place Finishes at Dan Veach Invitational

MAGNOLIA, Ark. - The University of Dallas women's track and field team competed at the Dan Veach Invitational on Saturday. Clare Hernandez (Dade City, Fla.) won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 13:00.37. Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) also grabbed two second-placed finishes on the day in the 5k and 1500 meter races.

- Wilgenbusch grabbed second place in the 1500 meter race coming in at the 5:17.06 mark. She set a Personal Record (PR) in the 5k with a time of 19:27.36.

- Athena Garnica (Phoenix, Ariz.) notched a PR in shotput at the event throwing 9.01 meters.

- Brenda Mendoza (Dumas, Texas) had a PR in the 800 meter (2:47.64) as she finished in eighth.
