IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Texas Lutheran University on Friday. The Crusaders held Texas Lutheran University scoreless in the first half despite being outshot 20-1 during that time. However, a pair of shots got through for goals in the final frame to improve the Bulldogs to 6-8-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).

Bailey Nimtz broke the scoreless match in the 52:12 minute on a free kick just in front of the penalty box. Jaclyn Smolik added an insurance goal with less than 10 minutes as Raquel Morris served a ball from the right side.

Dallas' best chance on goal in the game came moments after that scoring play. Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.) attempted back-to-back looks and was denied on a save by Stephanie Barrientos before missing right on the rebound.

Elena Naccari (Covington, La.) grabbed 10 saves in 90 minutes. It is the third time this season the senior has eclipsed double-digits in stops. She moved into sole possession of second in the program's all-time record books with 346. Last Sunday Naccari had tied 2012 UD Hall of Famer Kelly Scofield.
