Women's Soccer drops 4-0 Contest on Friday at No. 2 Trinity

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team (2-10-1, 1-5-1 SCAC) fell 4-0 against No. 2 Trinity University (12-0-1, 7-0 SCAC) on Friday evening. Dallas allowed a pair of goals in both halves, as the top-25 ranked opponent kept its unblemished campaign going.

Julia Camp would notch two of the Tigers' four netters, and got the scoring going early from kickoff in the 5th minute. Hannah Hommel was credited with the assist.

The Lady Crusaders buckled down most of the opening stanza and kept Trinity from pushing the advantage until the 40:28 minute mark when Meredith Licata would finish a goal that came on a pass from Amanda Boe. UD would be outshot 21-0 at halftime but were only down two.

Out of the break, Camp delivered an early goal gain less than two minutes into the frame. Yasmeen Farra and Colleen Markey would be awarded assists on the sequence. The duo would be involved again on the final goal of the night, as Kim Polasek netted one at the 77:26 mark to complete the 4-0 final result.

Sophomore Alice Nelson (Jackson, Tenn.) provided two of the team's four shots on the night. Nelson kicked both attempts on target for a perfect shots on goal percentage. Freshman Kathryn Zepeda (Lynnwood, Wash.) and senior Nicolette Perez (San Diego, Calif.) also made shot attempts for the Navy and White.

Sophomore Elena Naccari (Covington, La.) was saddled in the setback, but nabbed 16 saves – her second highest on the season. Naccari has played in five games where she has grabbed double-digit totals in saves. Friday's match was the first time she hit the feat since September 18 against this same Trinity foe.

Seven players for the Tigers recorded three shots for a game-high. Chelsea Cole and Camp would land all three of their attempts on goal. Amanda Boe, Kim Polasek, and Meredith Licata all had multiple shots on frame.

A trio of goalkeepers combined for the shutout for the Maroon and Gold. Jane Thompson made the start and faced no shots in the opening 45 minutes. Dana McLaughlin collected two saves in 25:56 minutes, and Kalli Douma played 19:04 minutes between the posts.
