UD SEASON STATS

A LOOK AT THE OPPONENTS

(University of Saint. Mary)

The Spires open their regular season on Friday against Oklahoma Baptist University. Last season, they went 2-10 overall. Saint Mary plays in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and are a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).

Last season, these teams were supposed to play but the match was cancelled. Saturday will be the first time these programs meet on the field.

Saint Mary Roster

(Southwestern University)

The Pirates are 1-1 on the young season and are coming off a 15-5 setback to Occidental College last Sunday. Prior to that, Southwestern prevailed in a tight 11-10 final against Whitman College. Both contests were at home for the Pirates, so Sunday's match will be their first one away from the friendly confines.

Emma Albin leads the team with four goals and two assists for six points. A trio of players follow with three goals on the season. Kaitlyn Campbell, Hayley Donnelly, and Johnee Wolter create the trio. Allison Cook is the other Pirate with multiple assists. Jordan Little has played 120 minutes in goal and made 15 saves.

Southwestern Season Stats

These programs are the lone two that offer NCAA Division III in Texas. Southwestern has won all three matchups dating back just as many years in a row. Last season, the Pirates won 16-0 in Georgetown. The only time these teams played in Irving was in 2015. It was a sloppy day for weather, as the match was called after 48 minutes of action.

UP NEXT

Dallas remains home and will play Millsaps College on March 4 at 11 a.m. They remain home for two more matches later that week against University of Northwestern (MN) and Beloit College (WI) on Mar. 8 and 10.
